Tucson, 5900 N Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85750, USA

About the event

The first three quarter mile of this hike is easy and lulls you into comfort and then the next two and a quarter miles are steady and relatively steep. There’s a great payoff, but this is definitely an adventure hike, suited for advanced hikers.

We will convene at the trailhead at 7:50am for introductions and begin our hike at 8:00am. Sabino Canyon Recreation Center charges a fee that can be paid online, in person or with a pass.

Please bring lots of water and sunscreen, hiking poles will be very useful with incline stretches on the way up and all the way down. The weather forecast right now calls for mid 50 degrees at the start and upper 70 degrees by the time we finish, beautiful hiking weather that’s getting on the warm side.

Given the climb of this trail, please make sure you are prepared for this hike, physically…
