About the event
Let’s enjoy the beautiful new trail that connects Finger Rock with Pontatoc Canyon! We will be hiking the Connector Loop in a clockwise direction.
The first part of this hike is challenging, pretty steep and lots of rocky parts. There’s a great payoff, but this is definitely an adventure hike, suited for moderate to advanced hikers.
We will convene at the trailhead at 7:50am for introductions and begin our hike at 8:00am. Finger Rock Trailhead is large and easy to find.
Please bring lots of water and sunscreen, hiking poles will be very useful with incline stretches on the way up and all the way down. The weather forecast right now calls for 54 degrees at the start and 80 degrees by the time we finish, beautiful hiking weather that’s getting on the warm side.
Given the climb of this trail, please make sure you are prepared for this hike,…
