This trail is a rocky and scrambly 2.3 mile out and back with 1302 feet (!) of elevation gain according to AllTrails, most of it in a .6 mile climb after a half mile warmup. While the reviews mention difficulty navigating and steep rocky sections, they also boast some amazing views.

About the event
Let’s enjoy a short but challenging adventure hike by tackling Golden Gate Mountain! We will be hiking the Golden Gate Mountain Summit via the Yetman Trail.
After some more ‘social’ adventure hikes recently, please note that this is a very challenging hike! Think Pusch Peak or Sombrero or Buster Mountain when it comes to the incline challenge here (I rate this about 3 Tumamocs 🤗⛰️)
We will stay together as much as possible, if anyone struggles with the climb no worries we can pick you up on the way back down.
We will convene at the trailhead at 7:50am for introductions and begin our hike at 8:00am. GPS ‘Yetman Trailhead’ and there is a small parking lot just west of Gate’s Pass where we can easily fit. I expect us to take just under three hours for this hike.
