About the event
Celebrate Save Our Saguaros Month by joining us for a large-scale clean-up and river restoration event at the beautiful Santa Cruz River Park. This Day of Connection will focus on healing, fun, and community engagement to protect and restore one of Tucson’s most cherished waterways.
In addition to a community clean-up and invasive species removal, this event is all about connecting participants to the diverse projects, opportunities, and ecosystems supported by the Santa Cruz River.
Engage in hands-on, river-themed activities such as:– Trash pickup to save the native plants!– Wildlife observation.– Learning about watershed restoration and ways to contribute to river health. Be part of the change.
To ensure your safety and comfort, we ask that you wear close-toed shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. Don’t forget to bring a refillable water bottle to help reduce plastic waste. We’ll provide all the necessary tools, gloves, and filtered drinking water to keep you…
